Click here to view You Tube video (10:46 min long)On July 16th, some of the biggest stars in sports and entertainment converged in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre for the 16th annual Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards or as they're more popularly known, the ESPY's. The ESPYs are ESPN's premier awards show honoring the best moments, teams and players from the past year in sports.
Justin Timberlake rocked as host of the awards show, keeping the crowd laughing and the show rolling. Tracy got to take part in some of the funny skits spoofing some of the biggest sports moments of the past year. You can spy Tracy in the Tiger Wood's US Open spoof, and also in the skit that turned out to be one of the funniest parts of the 2008 ESPYS awards: a video of an angry Mike Gundy, Oklahoma State University Football coach, during a news conference; it was then cut to a spoof video which showed Justin Timberlake as the reporter, and Tracy the reporter next to him.
Justin interrogated, "Were you or were you not a fan of 'N Sync? Why do you have a picture of the Jonas Brothers on your desk? We've all seen it! It's right under your Hannah Montana poster."
Tracy said, filming the skits in Los Angeles was hysterical and a lot of fun. "We were laughing the whole time; we had to keep re-shooting it. It was great fun." Justin Timberlake also spoofs Tony Romo & Jessica Simpson, Brett Favre's retirement speech, Eli Manning's Superbowl pass to David Tyree and a few others. Hysterical!
Tiger Woods, David Beckham, the New York Giants, and Maria Sharapova were some of the sports heroes that headlined the winners for the 2008 ESPYs.
But Tracy's favorite moment, which was also one of the biggest moments of the evening, was when her Wisconsin home state hero, Green Bay Packer star quarterback Brett Favre won for "Best Record Breaking Performance," following a touching tribute of his legendary career. "Brett Favre is my all time favorite sports hero," says Tracy, "he's the real thing." Click here to see Brett Favre receiving his award.
