Tracy attends the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards in London

Tracy attended the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards in London on May 14th. Under the glitz and glamour at the Millennium Mayfair hotel, some of the world's leaders in the wealth sector were honored. The World Olympians Association and the United Nations World Tourism Organization ST-EP Foundation were recipient charities of the event.

The Citywealth Magic Circle Awards shine a spotlight on those individuals and organizations who have raised the bar in terms of service, innovation and client care. These coveted awards, from the publishers of Citywealth, set the benchmark for excellence in the wealth sector. A short list of firms was drawn up from industry nominations. Submissions from those firms were then scrutinized by a judging panel of industry experts to decide the winners.


Gyles Brandreth acted as Emcee of the 2009 Citywealth Magic Circle Awards in London

Former MP Gyles Brandreth, acting as Emcee of the Event, announced the winners. Brandreth, who served the UK as Lord Commissioner of the Treasury in John Majors' Government, added some entertaining anecdotes that kept the audience laughing most of the evening.

of the World Olympians Association and the UNWTO ST-EP Foundation

Tracy took the podium to discuss the sport and education programs of the World Olympians Association and the United Nations World Tourism Organization ST-EP (Sustainable Tourism for the Elimination of Poverty). The two organizations (both of which Tracy represents) are working together on a sport and education programs in Africa to bring "Thank You Small Libraries" to the OlympAfrica centers being built around the continent of Africa. OlympAfrica Centers are supported by the International Labor Union and the International Olympic Committee.

WOA President Dick Fosbury further discussed the sport and education programs and explained the mission of the World Olympians Association in getting Olympians around the world to act as Ambassadors in their communities. Ambassador Dho Young Shim, chairman of the UNWTO ST-EP Foundation discussed the importance of education in developing countries and the "Thank You Small Library Program."
